Miko's Butterflyby ~KouKurai

Fan Art / Manga & Anime / Traditional / Movies & TV

Done as a request for Alex, I illustrated a Japanese Miko priestess reaching out to an ethereal butterfly just barely out of reach with no more but the open free skies behind them.

Drawn in my sketch book prior to being scanned to be touched up on and colored through Adobe Photoshop 7.0.

Very nice, including the arches in the background. For some reason, I immediately thought that a nightime version of this would be cool too...

I don't know why.

Hey that's not a bad idea, it wouldn't be too hard to change...I think the glowing ethereal butterfly would stand out better too. Thanks!
